What is the Baitussalam Basic Health Unit (BBHU)?
The
Baitussalam Basic Health Unit (BBHU) was founded with a simple yet powerful
vision: that no one should be deprived of healthcare because of financial
constraints.
Health
is not a privilege; it’s a right.
At BBHU, we believe that no child should lose their future, no mother her right, and no elder their hope, simply because they cannot afford care. And guaranteeing this becomes a shared responsibility of the entire community.
With this philosophy, Baitussalam Welfare Trust (BWT) launched the BBHU initiative to provide free, accessible, and quality healthcare services to underprivileged communities across Pakistan and beyond.

Baitussalam
Basic Health Unit ensures that families living below the poverty line receive
essential medical attention and support, no matter where they are.
Through mobile medical camps, ambulance services, and community health clinics,
BBHU delivers timely care to those who need it most.
Our focus areas include:

Our Services at Baitussalam Basic Health Unit (BBHU)
1. Mobile Medical Camps
BBHU’s mobile medical units bring healthcare directly to remote and underserved areas. These camps offer:
● Diagnostic and clinical consultations
● Free medicines and minor procedures

Health awareness and nutrition guidance
Our medical camps have reached thousands in disaster-hit and low-income regions across Pakistan and internationally.

Free Health Clinic
Our
physical clinic operates as a permanent facility offering OPD, diagnostic
support, and specialized care, all FREE of cost.
Volunteers include doctors, pharmacists, and trained paramedics who devote
their expertise to serve the underprivileged with compassion.

Ambulance & Emergency Support
Integrated
with Baitussalam Free Ambulance Service, BBHU ensures emergency response and
patient transport, providing timely help during crises and disasters.
4.
Cataract Surgery & Eye Care Initiative
In
2017, BBHU inaugurated its first cataract operation theater (O.T.) to
restore the gift of sight for low-income patients.
● The first camp (2017) served 500+ patients from Goth Deeh Kotiriro, Goth Damloti, Goth Darsano Channo, and nearby areas.
●
10 cataract surgeries were successfully performed by a
specialized team, including an Eye Surgeon, a Doctor, and Paramedics.
Since then, hundreds of patients have benefited from free consultations,
eye surgeries, and postoperative care.

Community Health Awareness & eHealth Initiatives of Baitusalam Welfare Trust (BWT)
Beyond
treatment, BBHU invests in education and prevention.
Our awareness workshops and eHealth sessions, led by doctors and health
professionals, teach communities about hygiene, nutrition, maternal care, and
disease prevention.
These efforts create sustainable health practices that go beyond clinics, into
homes and daily lives.
